FAQ

Questions about the JSON to Code

Does the Go struct include json tags?

Yes. Each field name is capitalised so it is exported, and a json tag keeps the original key, for example Name string `json:"name"`.

How are nested objects converted?

Only top-level keys become fields. A nested object becomes Record<string, any> in TypeScript, map[string]interface{} in Go and dict in Python, so model it separately if you need full types.

Can I paste a JSON array instead of an object?

No. The top level must be an object. Paste one element of the array and the tool will type its fields; array fields inside it are typed from their first item.

Is the JSON to Code free and private?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs entirely in your browser, so what you type is not uploaded. You only sign in if you want to email a result to yourself or save it to your CareerByteCode profile.
