FAQ

Questions about the Profile Photo Checklist

What size should a profile photo be?

At least 400 x 400 pixels and roughly square. LinkedIn recommends 400 x 400 or larger; most platforms crop it to a circle.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The photo is read in your browser only to measure it and show the preview. It never leaves your device.

Does a profile photo really matter?

Yes. Profiles with a clear, friendly photo get noticeably more views and messages, and a consistent photo makes you easy to recognise everywhere.

Is the Profile Photo Checklist free and private?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs entirely in your browser, so what you type is not uploaded. You only sign in if you want to email a result to yourself or save it to your CareerByteCode profile.
