FAQ

Questions about the Resume Length Checker

When is a two page resume acceptable?

The tool recommends two pages when you have 10 or more years of experience or 4 or more roles, as long as every line still earns its place.

How many words should a one page resume have?

The tool flags more than 900 words as high and fewer than 250 as low, so aim between those.

Should a fresher ever use a two page resume?

Usually not. With under 7 years and 3 or fewer roles the tool advises keeping it to one page.

Is the Resume Length Checker free and private?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs entirely in your browser, so what you type is not uploaded. You only sign in if you want to email a result to yourself or save it to your CareerByteCode profile.
