FAQ

Questions about the Notice Period Calculator

How is the last working day calculated?

Most HR teams count the resignation date as day 1. So 60 days from 1 July ends on 29 August, and 2 months from 1 July ends on 31 August.

Can I adjust leave against my notice period?

Only if your company policy allows it. The calculator takes those days off the end of the notice.

What is a notice period buyout?

You or the new employer pay for the days you do not serve. The calculator estimates it as monthly gross divided by 30 times the days.

Is the Notice Period Calculator free and private?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs entirely in your browser, so what you type is not uploaded. You only sign in if you want to email a result to yourself or save it to your CareerByteCode profile.
