FAQ

Questions about the Resume Version Compare

How do I see what changed between two versions of my resume?

Paste both versions and click Compare. Lines only in the new version are marked added and lines only in the old version are marked removed.

Does it show word-level changes inside a line?

No. It compares whole lines, so an edited line appears as one removed line and one added line.

Is there a size limit for the resume compare?

It compares up to the first 400 lines of each version, which is far more than a normal resume.

Is the Resume Version Compare free and private?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs entirely in your browser, so what you type is not uploaded. You only sign in if you want to email a result to yourself or save it to your CareerByteCode profile.
