FAQ

Questions about the Instagram Caption Formatter

Why does Instagram remove my line breaks?

Instagram trims empty lines and trailing spaces when you post. Putting an invisible character or a dot on each empty line keeps the spacing, which is what this formatter does for you.

How long can an Instagram caption be?

Up to 2,200 characters and 30 hashtags. Only about the first 125 characters show before "more", so the formatter shows your hook line length separately.

Should hashtags go in the caption or the first comment?

Both work. Many creators keep 3 to 5 relevant hashtags at the end of the caption; the tool can move them to the end or split them off for a first comment.

Is the Instagram Caption Formatter free and private?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs entirely in your browser, so what you type is not uploaded. You only sign in if you want to email a result to yourself or save it to your CareerByteCode profile.
