FAQ

Questions about the Work Experience Calculator

How do I calculate total work experience?

Add the time in each job from the joining date to the last day. If two jobs overlap, count that time once.

Should I write experience in decimals?

Some forms ask for it, like 7.2 years. On a resume, 7+ years reads better.

Do internships count as experience?

Usually not in total experience for jobs, but list them separately on your resume.

Is the Work Experience Calculator free and private?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs entirely in your browser, so what you type is not uploaded. You only sign in if you want to email a result to yourself or save it to your CareerByteCode profile.
