How to use the Advance Tax Due-Date Planner

  1. Enter your total tax for FY 2026-27 after rebate, with cess.
  2. Enter the TDS and TCS that already covers part of it.
  3. Tick presumptive tax (44AD or 44ADA) or senior citizen if they apply.
  4. Read the schedule and click Add dates to my calendar.

Questions about the Advance Tax Due-Date Planner

Who has to pay advance tax?

Anyone whose tax for the year, after TDS and TCS, is Rs 10,000 or more. A resident senior citizen with no business or professional income does not have to.

What are the advance tax due dates?

15 June (15 percent), 15 September (45 percent), 15 December (75 percent) and 15 March (100 percent). Presumptive taxpayers under 44AD or 44ADA pay all of it by 15 March.

What happens if I miss an instalment?

Interest of about 1 percent a month on the shortfall (section 234C), and section 234B if less than 90 percent is paid by 31 March. Verify the current rules with your CA.
